During the reunion dinner, Dad was saying, “Next year, most probably you will be half a globe away this time.”

Very true. I didn’t give much response and continue feeding my cats that lingered below the table.

Not even half a year ago, I remembered tears welling up in my eyes when the train reached Kampar. Knowing that the next station will be Batu Gajah, I felt like dying; Amazingly, a semester had passed safe and sound even though I wasn’t in my best condition. Still, I count my blessings and thank God for things that have happened.

I guess the mind is pretty much ready to go for the first step but I am not sure about the heart.

Well, let’s hope this new year will be a good one ahead. Though I didn’t believe much in good luck, quietly and sincerely, I do hope this prosperous dragon year will somehow bring me some “bonuses”.

2011 has been an awesome year; 2012, hope you will be good to me too. (>,<)

Attended Sunday Service, then headed back to campus for study week. It was the first new year spent in campus, thus planned to have a “special” dinner with roommate. Nothing grand happened, just a few “maksiat” moment together.

Come to think of it, 9 more months and we will have to go on with our own separated ways. Thank you for being an honest friend that share through tears and “air hidung”; Thank you for being an awesome roommate too this year for being so reliable during sick time and the unexpected spot-check incident. I shall miss you later.

Back to study, I have 5 final exam papers to kill..or maybe, to be killed. (>,<)

2011 has been awesome and life-changing. Met people and a lot of people, traveled more, been more independent and courageous (I guess), more interaction with human besides cats and dogs..as well as blessed with nice people around in Labuan

I foresee 2012 as a major transition in life. Which, I will be finally freed from studying (YAY!) and also being pushed fresh and alive into the cruelty of working life (shivers).

No matter how things turn out to be, I believe 2012 will be a fruitful year ahead with God’s blessing and maybe, a little pinch of luck from the angels? Imaginative.

For 2012, I wish to achieve:

1. The first one might not be so significant. Haha. Erm, please don’t let the world end on my birthday? Touch wood.

2. Cut the craps. This one is more realistic and utmost prioritized. Graduate in one piece, accomplish the Final Year Project decently. Fingers crossed.

3. Get a job. Although I already have an “ideal” job in mind, it is still full of uncertainties. I have done my best, I guess..so I will leave the rest to God. Amen!

4. Join a marathon/Attend a concert/Travel somewhere further alone. 3 options, choose one. Haha. Being a home-girl, I am not much of a courageous and independent being, neither do I enjoy crowds and noises. But, it is time to step out of comfort zone and have some sight-seeings. At least, I can loudly declare that “Been there, done that!”

5. Again, interact more with human. Haha. I definitely need to master this one properly.

6. Get a new pet species. This has been part of the resolutions each year, but still unable to achieve so far. Hmphh. Parrot, ferret, or an albino porcupine? I hope my cats wont swallow them. Heh heh heh.

7. Erm..this is a bit embarrassing but it would be good if I can add another 5cm to my height and another 5kg to my weight. Cough. I will try my best for this one.

8. Drive more. Like seriously.

9. Equip myself with more technical and financial knowledge. No more a young girl. Need to be smarter these days.

10. Perfect 10. Do more for the family

1. Started my final year of undergraduate life officially. Yay.

2. First Birthday in campus, actually it is the last one as well. Celebrated with friends and 2 birthday cakes so far. I am contented.

3. Pretty screwed up yesterday’s vibration test, on the birthday itself.. Didnt study properly I think. Hurm.

4. Get my first work of life done, in one piece. Pretty proud of my life. Big grin.

5. Spent a total of almost 2-3 months in the middle of the sea. Got to witness the best sunrise and sunset each day.

6. Set a record. 48 hours++ of staying awake. It was epic and the aftermath certainly doesn’t feel good. Haha.

7. Stayed on the barge and experienced sea-sick every single day yet still surviving like a weak cat. (>,<)

8. Deal with explosives and armed her first gun in life. So cool.

9. Spotted a whole piece of fishes on the sea in a bright, peaceful morning as if they were all surfaced to do aerobics.. Magnificent view.

10. A 45 minutes one way flight becomes a half-a-day journey. Most stupid and nonsense travelling experience. From Miri to Bintulu, from Bintulu to Kota Kinabalu, from Kota Kinabalu to Labuan. We could just fly directly from Miri to Labuan or from Bintulu to Labuan. Too bad, they are running out of flight tickets yet the manager summoned us back urgently.

11. Learned to cook and is enjoying cooking for her roommate and friends every now and then.

12. Booked the flight and flied all the way to Singapore all alone. First international flight, alone. Nothing special actually, haha but just pretend it is something to be proud of okie? Haha.

13. Touched a real shark, with bare hand.

14. Sponsored my mom a trip to Indonesia. She can actually afford the expenses herself but I just feel like I am “grown-up” enough to make use of the 8-month salary for my parents.

15. Wore high heels and walked around the campus from 8am-5pm without changing shoes. It hurts like crap!

16. Got my first branded handbag. It’s a gift. Was excited for a few days, but it seems like the RM60 with 10% discount red Reebook bag looks nicer after all. Oops. Hehe.

17. Set another record of being lifted up and down for 20-30 meters height by a crane. Clinging hard to the net, praying not to fell off, swaying and rotating in the middle of the air by strong gushing wind.

18. Badly influenced by the roommate. Believe it or not, me is a big fans of korean songs, series, movies and variety shows. But no kpop please! Haha.

19. Drank a maximum 5 cans of cola in one day. No, I am not going to break this record.

20. First time being a chairperson in the church. Erm, not really fond of the experience but it is something beneficial for a person with such low self-esteem.

21. Wrote my first birthday-in-history post.

Today, I am 21 years and 1 day old

Well, I am born in the end of December where everyone is off for school holidays or winter break or whatever long break you call it. Which means, everyone will be either taking up part-time jobs or spending time travelling around with the family. To make it even worse, my birthday is always being paired up with winter solstice celebration hence another reason of no-chance-to-celebrate-with-friends.

With the launching of the new tri-sem, I, most probably, is the only soul in the uni who is happy and looking forward to it. Like finally, one birthday away from home before I grad. Yay.

Now, after so much hope and excitement invested in looking forward to it, I wish I were at home right now for my semester break. Enjoying some peaceful moment, fooling around with the dogs and cats while sneaking in and out of the kitchen to steal some food.

3 projects, 2 assignments, 2 tests and probably 1 lab report to be marathon-ed for the entire week. And, some freaking hard test waiting to be failed on my birthday. Full of miseries.

Sneeze and cough. Sigh. Me no want  anymore birthday away from home.

Nevertheless, it is still a month worth looking forward to. Let’s do our best and close this year’s chapter fruitfully.

Be good and be blessed wherever you are

To think that it is finally final year, when everyone is brushing and polishing respective wings, ready to take off to a higher height. That, some of us is already preparing to march into another journey of life, building family, bringing new life, nurturing the future generation. It’s amazing, no? To think we are still very young, just like yesterday, of those days with thick spectacles, bag and tupperware. Of those days, when things are easier and simpler.

I am turning 21 next month. For me, it is something significant. Leaving home at the age of 16, starting the undergraduate studies at the age of 17, venturing into the first job in life at the age of 19, and turning 21 is going to mark the end of current journey soon.

Perhaps, I am a little bit scared and worried besides feeling all excited to crash the world soon. Sometimes I am pretty confused of what I am supposed to do in my age; Am I growing in the pace that doesn’t belong to me? My soul, she feels so much burdened sometimes and tired too..of things that are so far away, of things that force her to grow up a whole lot faster.

There are several people, that I would like to keep close to my heart. But growing old keeps us apart. Further and further. And very soon, more things will get in between and each of us will have more major commitment to pay attention to. If I can just hold the time. Selfish thoughts, haha.

Tonight, just suddenly, I miss all of you and “us”. Be good and be blessed, wherever you are.

I certainly am sure of what I hope for, and for that I surrender my hope into Your hand. May Your will be done. May Your will be done!

Penang for this coming weekend and KL for the next weekend. Finally after being ffk-ed for the Singapore trip, snakey and I are finally going to have our first adventure together. Excited and hopefully the plan is going to be successful. Fingers crossed. Ah~~and KL! The sponsor..err, I mean the Elephun  is finally back after half a year!
